| "原子爆弾がとうかされたヒロシマに最初に咲いたというキョウチクトウの花に、希望をもらった被爆者も多い話を聞いたことがあります。
キョウチクトウの根元から出る光で、その希望を表現しました。 I have heard of the story that many survivors of the atomic bomb had found a hope from the oleander flowers. It is told that the flowers of oleander were the first to bloom in Hiroshima after the atomic bomb dropped in the city where almost all have vanished. I have tried to express the feeling of hope with the light that shone from the ends of the flower stems." |
