"During the mid-20th century, tensions between the Soviet Union and the United States were like boiling water, and nuclear war seemed inevitable. Nuclear weapons and atomic bombs seemed like the tool that will lead the world to universal peace when the United States had the atomic bomb. However, when the Soviet Union started to get the secret of the atomic bomb and successfully developed their own nuclear weapons, everyone was insecure. American society was severly affected. The fear of nuclear war led the media teaching its civilians to "duck and cover." Universal peace under the guidance of a weapon would only be fake peace or temporary peace. Creating nuclear weapons was a step away from universal peace. To achieve worldwide peace, the first step would be the ridance of all weapons of mass-destruction. Without any nuclear weapons, everybody would feel secured, and there would be no need to "duck and cover" anymore."
